One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

In the great struggle between McMurphy and Ratched, who comes out victorious? Is it Ratched, because she succeeds in getting McMurphy lobotomized and thus neutralized? Or is it McMurphy because Chief is able to escape and the men have undergone profound changes? Can the Combine ever be beaten? Your thoughts?

Welcome to the Course!

This blog is a space for all the participants in this class to respond to the class readings and have their voices heard in one large conversation. I will be posting assignments, prompts and/or questions here about the material, and you will be required to make thoughtful responses to me or to ideas raised by other students in the class. Yes, this is graded! Your thoughts and observations are welcome, but please carefully read what your classmates have written so as not to repeat ideas already posted.
